Types of personal data collected

Information you provide to Travel Extremadura: this refers to information you voluntarily submit to this website by filling in a form (e.g. leaving a comment, joining my email list) or when contacting me by email, or otherwise.

Information automatically collected through the website: this includes technical information (e.g. your browser type and version) and information about your visit, such as browsing information collected through cookies.

I use the information for the following purposes:

As a UK-registered sole trader, I’m required, for tax purposes, to keep basic information about my clients (including contact, identity, and transaction data) for six years after the end of the tax year.

Your information that is no longer needed is either irreversibly anonymised or destroyed securely.

Travel Extremadura does not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal data to third parties.

I may have to share your information with third parties in these cases:

1. When needed to deliver my services, as per the terms of service previously agreed by you when requesting my services.

2. When required for legal purposes.

I will not pass your details (email, address, telephone, cookie details etc.) to third parties for marketing purposes.

This tool helps me measure how you interact with the website content by collecting information such as where on the website you clicked, the number of pages you visited or how long you spent on the site. I do not use Google Analytics to collect or store any personal identifiable information. You can optout of having your site activity available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

WordPress cookies. If you submit a comment to this website you can opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies so that you don’t need to fill in your details every time you leave a comment. These cookies will last for one year.

Third-party use of personal information

​Travel Extremadura uses third-party service providers and each third-party service provider’s use of your personal information is dictated by their respective privacy policies.

This website currently uses the following third-party service providers:

Google Analytics. This service tracks website usage and provides information such as referring websites and user actions on the website. I do not use Google Analytics to collect or store any personal identifiable information. You can optout of having your site activity available to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

EmailOctopus. I use this service to deliver emails to subscribers and your email address is stored for the purposes of delivering such communications. Please refer to EmailOctopus’ privacy policy for further information.

Amazon Web Services (AWS). The domain is hosted on AWS web servers, which are located in Ireland.

Social media. Travel Extremadura is present on Instagram and Facebook. If you interact with information from this website through one of these social media channels, make sure you read, understand and agree to the privacy policy of the corresponding social media channel.

Links to other websites

This website contains links to other websites of interest. Once you’ve clicked through and left this site, I have no control over that other website. Therefore, I am not responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting those websites and such sites are not governed by this privacy policy. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.
